State medical assistance may be granted to people:

  • Of Monegasque nationality, or who have been resident in the Principality on a stable or regular basis for at least five years
  • Who do not have the right, as an insured person or dependent, to any coverage under the benefits of a health or maternity insurance policy in Monaco or abroad
  • Whose daily living allowance is below a ceiling set by ministerial decree

Those in receipt of the State benefits for the elderly, the monthly retirement allowance or social unemployment allowance are legally entitled to this assistance.
