Principle and conditions

If your residence permit has been lost or stolen, you can request a duplicate. An issuing fee is payable (80€).

Collating the documents

Before submitting your request via the special online service, please make sure you have the following documents: 

  • If you are requesting a duplicate following the theft of your permit: crime report or certificate of theft (translated into French if necessary)
  • Most recent energy bill (electricity or gas)
  • Proof of income appropriate to your situation (see list below):
    • Banking document dated within the last month
    • Last payslip
    • Employment Agency certificate
    • Recent certificate showing that you are being supported by another resident (can be downloaded here): Download file Attestation récente de prise en charge par un autre résident Attestation récente de prise en charge par un autre résident
    • Certificat de position militaire, pour les membres de la Force publique

Applying via the online service

Once you have collated the supporting documents listed in the previous step in digital format, you can request a duplicate of residence permit using the special online service by clicking on this link

Collecting your duplicate

You should collect your duplicate directly from the Monaco Police Department at the address given at the top of this page.

Do not send a cheque by post. Payment for your residence permit should be made when it is issued.

You should send the duly completed form and the supporting documents listed in the previous step, by post to the address provided at the top of the page

Collecting your duplicate

You should collect your duplicate directly from the Monaco Police Department at the address given at the top of this page.
