The Prince’s Government is aware of the particularly difficult situation faced by many self-employed workers and has therefore decided to introduce an Exceptional Minimum Income, which applies from 1 March 2020.
The purpose of this financial assistance is to offer economic support to self-employed workers by providing a minimum monthly income of EUR 1,800 per month.
- Any individual who conducts a non-salaried professional activity in the Principality of Monaco (craft, industrial or commercial activity, or licensed professionals) is eligible for the Exceptional Minimum Income
- Provided that the activity is not included on the list of activities set out in the Article 2 of the Ministerial Decision dated 18 March 2020 on the temporary closure of certain businesses open to the public
- And provided that the applicant is not in receipt of the daily allowance paid out by the Social Services Compensation Fund as compensation for looking after children
Please note: individuals in possession of more than one ministerial authorisation in their own name will only be eligible for the exceptional minimum income once.
