Principle and conditions

The card stating that a person has difficulty standing gives the cardholder priority for seats on public transport and when waiting in queues.

These cards are issued subject to the advice of a doctor designated by the Director of Social Welfare and Social Services.

Applying in writing

You should make a written application for a card for a person with disabilities who has difficulty standing. The application should be on plain paper, addressed to the Director of Social Welfare and Social Services.

Collating the documents

You should include the following with the application:

  • A detailed medical certificate
  • A photocopy of the applicant's ID card or residence permit
  • An ID photo

Sending off the application

You should send the application to the Director of Social Welfare and Social Services.
