Principle and conditions

Renewing your annual car sticker enables you to extend the validity of your car registration certificate. There is a fixed fee for each category of vehicle. The deadline for payment is 31st December. A late payment penalty set by Ministerial Decree, is made for each vehicle from 1st January. Once you have paid before 31st December, the sticker to affix to the rear number plate and the stamp showing the year will be sent to you by post.

If you change your address or civil status, please notify the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Office , so your vehicle documents can be updated.

1

Getting ready to apply

Keep the invoice that was sent to you, listing the vehicles for which the tax is due for renewal. The invoice shows the login details that you will need when applying online.

2

Applying online

You can pay for your vehicle tax online,  by following the procedures for our secure payment system.

1

Completing the form

Complete the invoice that was sent to you listing the vehicles for which the tax is due for renewal. Fill in the parts to be completed and prepare a cheque of the corresponding amount.

2

Submitting the form

You will be requested to send back in an envelop the completed form that was sent to you by post, together with the payment by cheque only (the cheques that are accepted must be issued from a Monaco or French bank)

Please stick on the envelop the sticker that was sent to you by post together with the invoice.

You can either send back the envelop by post or leave it in the corresponding box at the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Office.

3

Receiving and affixing your annual car tax stickers

Once payment has been made, the annual car sticker will be sent to you by post. You must stick it to the designated place on the registration plate of your vehicle. You should also stick the annual stamp in your vehicle registration card.
