Principle and conditions

Housing of this kind is posted in the Journal Officiel de Monaco.

Owners of residential properties (built before 1 September 1947) which come under  Act no. 1.235 of 28 December pertaining to rental conditions for certain residential premises which were built or completed before 1 September 1947, amended must respect the rent procedures instituted by article 35 of the aforementioned act.

Submitting the vacancy declaration

You need to take the completed “Déclaration de vacance” form to the Housing Department, in the month following the date on which the asset was vacated.

Submitting the rent offer

You need to take the completed “Offre de location” form to the Housing Department, accompanied by a certificate from an inspection body which is less than a year old.

Declaring the renting of the property

Once you have found a tenant, complete the “Déclaration de location” form, mentioning the candidate for the property you selected at the end of the publication.

Declaring the tenancy agreement

You must provide the Housing Department with the following:

  • The draft tenancy agreement contract, in order that it might be certified
  • A copy of the tenancy agreement contract within the eight days which follow the signing of this contract

 

Principle and conditions

Owners of residential properties (built before 1 September 1947) which come under the Act no. 887 of 25/06/1970  must respect the rent procedure instituted by article 3 of the Ordinance no. 4.621 of 29/12/1970 .

A declaration of vacancy must be made within 8 days of vacating the property. At the same time, or when the property is occupied once again, a rental declaration or a declaration of free accommodation must be made.

Before the property is let, the owner or their representative must submit a rent declaration to the Housing Department.

This housing may only be rented by the following individuals:

  • Ancestors or descendants (and their spouses) of the owner or their spouse
  • Individuals of Monegasque nationality
  • Individuals who have lived in Monaco for at least five years and who have exercised professional activity there for at least six months
  • Individuals who have worked in Monaco for at least five years

Submitting all the documents

You must complete the “Déclaration de location” form and send it to the Housing Department, accompanied by proof demonstrating how the beneficiary satisfies the conditions required to rent the aforementioned property, pursuant to article 3 of the aforementioned act.
