Principle and conditions

To showcase the vitality of local artistic work, the Department of Cultural Affairs is organising an exhibition in June at the Rainier III Auditorium of Monegasque artists and artists who have lived in Monaco for more than 5 years.

At this event, each painter will be offered two adjoining panels, each 1 metre wide and 2.24 metres high (i.e. a total of 2m x 2.24m) on which to display a pictorial artwork that they have created.

For sculptors, a stand (52 x 52 x 50cm) can be made available for displaying a work.

To be eligible, candidates must be:

  • Of Monegasque nationality
  • Or resident in the Principality for more than five years

 

The "Public's Prize" will be awarded at the end of the event, enabling the winning artwork to remain on show at the Rainier III Auditorium.  The conditions and duration of this display will be considered according to the type of winning work, the timescale for display in the Auditorium and in agreement with the artist.

Obtaining the application file

The application file is comprised of the rules of entry, an entry form, a fact sheet and a liability waiver.

  • Download it here 
  • Collect it from the Department of Cultural Affairs 

Applications are closed for 2016.

Collating the documents

To take part in Monaco Artists' Forum, you must provide:

  • A photocopy of your ID card if you are of Monegasque nationality
  • A photocopy of your residence permit and a residence certificate
  • The application duly completed and signed
  • A photograph of the work

Sending off the documents

The application must be returned to the Department of Cultural Affairs (« Le Winter Palace » 4, boulevard des Moulins 98000 Monaco) by post before 25 March 2016.

Candidates' attention is drawn to the limited number of places.  Incomplete applications will not be considered.
